Full Service Real Estate and Property Management company seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team!

Qualifications

  • 5 + years Accounting experience
  • Experience out of Real Estate or related industry
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Financial Reporting
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Proficiency in Yardi Voyager
  • Solid understanding of real estate accounting principles
  • Experience with month-end close and financial statement preparation
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fully in office

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of multifamily properties, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and account reconciliations
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules
  • Lead the month-end close process, ensuring adherence to deadlines and accuracy of reporting
  • Oversee reconciliation of bank accounts, operating accounts, and escrow accounts
  • Review accounts payable and accounts receivable activity, including rent rolls, tenant ledgers, and collections
  • Analyze variances between actual results and budget/forecast and provide explanations to management
  • Collaborate with property management team to ensure accurate coding of expenses and proper financial reporting
  • Maintain and enforce internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures
  • Assist with preparation of budgets and reforecasts in coordination with property
