Job DescriptionIndustrial Equipment Reliability Technician
As the 2nd shift comes online, you’re the steady hand that keeps production humming. From reactive fixes to proactive upkeep, you’ll be the person our teams count on to maintain, troubleshoot, and continually improve the machinery and facility systems that power our manufacturing operation.
A Day in the Life
You’ll start by reviewing open work orders and maintenance logs in our ERP, then prioritize tasks to minimize downtime. Throughout the shift, you’ll move between equipment diagnostics, planned PMs, and quick-turn repairs—always with safety and quality top of mind.
- Diagnose and repair manufacturing assets—forklifts, pallet trucks, and related machinery—while executing a strong preventive maintenance program.
- Care for plant infrastructure: water tanks, chillers, compressors, oil temperature controllers, filtration, and electrical distribution—maintained to national electrical code standards.
- Fabricate and weld guards, gates, brackets, and machine components when custom fixes are required.
- Use shop machinery, hand tools, and power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks.
- Handle general facility upkeep such as lamp/ballast replacements, equipment cleaning, moving furniture, and maintaining exterior areas.
- Document work performed, track parts, and update maintenance histories within the ERP system.
- Partner closely with production to cut downtime and boost equipment reliability and throughput.
- Follow our Quality Management System (QMS) processes and contribute to continuous improvement.
What You Bring
- Either a 1–2 year technical credential in Electrical, Electromechanical, Machine Shop, Hydraulics, Water Treatment Systems, or Power Transmission, or 5+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in manufacturing.
- Broad mechanical and plumbing aptitude.
- Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical blueprints and schematics.
- Strong organization habits and comfort with basic math.
- Skill using computers and maintenance/CMMS-style tracking tools.
- Proven safe operation of a wide range of hand and power tools.
- Dependable attendance and a proactive safety mindset.
