Job DescriptionJob Summary:
The User Training Specialist develops and delivers training for application users, including formal training, training videos, and weekly demonstrations/briefings. This role supports a mobile training team for quick-response training and ensures training reflects the latest TIMES production version (95% of the time). The specialist demonstrates expertise in TIMES and DAF mobilization processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and update training packages annually and upon system revisions.
- Produce online training videos, cataloged on the TIMES splash screen.
- Deliver formal user training via DoD platforms or hands-on sessions at government facilities.
- Conduct weekly demonstrations/briefings for AF/A3OD staff and users.
- Support a mobile training team for rapid-response training at user locations.
- Ensure training covers program operation, database manipulation, and report generation.
- Use Defense Collaboration Services (DCS) for virtual training.
- Demonstrate technical and functional expertise in TIMES and mobilization processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Education, IT, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in technical training, preferably for DoD systems.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Expertise in TIMES or similar mobilization systems.
- Familiarity with DCS or DoD training platforms.
- Active Secret Clearance, TS/SCI preferred.
Certifications (preferred):
- DoD 8140.03 baseline certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+) if performing IA/IT functions.
- DoD Information Assurance Awareness.
