NOW HIRING: Site Safety Manager
We’re looking for an experienced and motivated SiteSafety Manager to join our growing team in the Utility and Heavy Civil Construction Industry.
The safety manager will be responsible for ensuring our workers maintain the highest level of safety. This role plays a key part in promoting a safe and healthy work environment across all job sites. He/ She will be responsible for implementing safety policies, conducting site inspections, and educating workers on safety protocols.
Location: Maryland, Washington, and Virginia
Type: Full-Time
Industry: Utility & Heavy Civil Construction
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum 5 years of safety experience
- OSHA 500 Certification
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (Preferred)
- Experience in utility & earth grading work
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Familiar with DOT compliance, OSHA recordkeeping, and Miss Utility
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct field safety audits, inspections, and job site visits
- Enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations
- Lead weekly safety meetings, and new hire orientations
- Perform incident and near-miss investigations and generate reports accordingly
- Monitor and manage Miss Utility tickets
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Foremen to address hazards
- Support safety training and promote safe practices
- Maintain OSHA logs, safety documentation and injury management
- Assist the Safety Director with Fleet Safety Program and DOT compliance
