Job Summary
The EHS Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations. This role supports the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of safety policies and procedures and helps foster a culture of safety and accountability throughout the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field; or hold a CSP or CIH certification or related industry certifications required.
- 5+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing, food production, or related industrial environment
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best practices
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to train and influence at all levels
- Ability to conduct root cause analysis and follow up on corrective/preventive actions
- Proficiency in MS Office and safety management systems
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- OSHA 30-Hour General Industry Certification a plus
