Job Description

Advanced Endoscopy Opportunity

Our organization in Rapid City is on the lookout for a full-time Board Eligible/Board Certified Advanced Endoscopist to become part of a thriving practice that prioritizes exceptional patient care, teamwork, and a fulfilling work atmosphere. The main focus will be managing an elective advanced gastrointestinal service line.

The Rapid City Hospital, a 417-bed regional tertiary care facility and Level 2 Trauma Center, features a cutting-edge endoscopy suite staffed by professionals skilled in advanced procedures.

The position offers a competitive base salary of $900,000, with productivity bonuses available from the outset. Additionally, there are starting and retention bonuses that can reach up to $190,000. Other perks include relocation support, reimbursement for continuing medical education (CME), paid malpractice insurance, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Join a well-established elective/outpatient advanced GI practice with support from Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). All inpatient general GI duties are managed by our three inpatient GI specialists. We utilize Epic as our electronic medical record system and the latest Provation software for endoscopy documentation. Currently, minimal advanced GI call is required, as most inpatient and urgent advanced procedures are performed by two fellowship-trained inpatient GI physicians. Experience or a willingness to train in endobariatric procedures is essential, given our collaborative bariatric surgery service. Our facility also boasts 24/7 in-house general and trauma surgeons, an exceptional intensivist service, a busy colorectal fellowship-trained surgeon, and a high-volume medical oncology team. We have a robust interventional radiology department, two GI-trained pathologists, and support for hepatology, hepatobiliary, and liver transplant surgery through bi-monthly outreach clinics from Nebraska Medicine.

You can enjoy a rewarding medical career while embracing a fulfilling lifestyle in one of the most desirable and expanding regions of the Mountain West. The area offers a wide range of outdoor activities, including rock climbing, skiing, hiking, camping, boating, fishing, and hunting. As a popular tourist destination, we have a regional airport just 15 minutes from downtown, providing direct daily flights to several major hubs.

For those contemplating fellowship training, financial assistance options are available upon signing.
