Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This contract position offers an opportunity to provide specialized speech-language pathology services within a school setting located in Lafayette, Indiana. The role involves working full-time throughout the next school year to support students, with a particular focus on those enrolled in Essential Life Skills programs within the Tippecanoe School Corporation. This position is ideal for certified Speech-Language Pathologists who are looking to impact the pediatric population in an educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver assessment, diagnosis, and individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language impairments.
- Collaborate with educators and other support staff to develop and implement effective intervention strategies.
- Document student progress and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and maintain clear communication with families and school personnel.
- Utilize teletherapy techniques when necessary to provide consistent care.
Qualifications:
- Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required.
- Experience in school-based speech therapy preferred, particularly in pediatric settings.
- Familiarity with Essential Life Skills programs or similar educational programs is beneficial.
- Ability to manage caseloads effectively and work independently.
- Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
