Schedule: Full-Time | 40 hours/week | Monday-Friday
Shift Options: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM or 9:00 AM-6:00 PM (flexible scheduling available)
Pay: Up to $23/hour based on experience and certification



About the Opportunity

We're seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician II to join a fast-paced, closed-door pharmacy that services group homes and healthcare facilities. This is an excellent opportunity for pharmacy technicians looking to transition away from retail into a collaborative, non-public-facing environment with consistent weekday hours and opportunities for career growth.



Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter and review prescription information using pharmacy software.
  • Fill and prepare prescriptions using automated multi-dose packaging equipment.
  • Verify prescription orders and prepare medications for final pharmacist review.
  • Handle medical packaging requirements for prescription orders.
  • Complete prescription documentation and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Triage incoming phone calls from nurses, case managers, and healthcare facilities.
  • Assist with inventory management, quality assurance, and medication compliance activities.
  • Remove expired or damaged medications from inventory.
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and adhere to all pharmacy policies and procedures.
  • Support pharmacists with additional pharmacy operations and workflow needs.



Qualifications

Required

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
  • Current National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT).
  • Current State Pharmacy Technician registration/licensure.
  • Previous medical or multi-dose packaging experience.
  • Strong computer and data entry skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
  • Comfortable communicating with healthcare professionals by phone.



Preferred

  • Pharmacy Technician II certification.
  • Experience using QS1 pharmacy software.
  • Experience with Medicine On Time (MOT) packaging systems.
  • Previous experience in a closed-door, long-term care, or institutional pharmacy.
