We are seeking a Welder Fabricator to become an integral part of our team!
Duties & Responsibilities
- Read and interpret project plans, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to perform tasks at hand.
- Create quality MIG, TIG and other types of welds based on project needs and blueprints.
- Use precision measuring tools to inspect grooves and angles.
- Inspect welds for accuracy and quality.
- Prepare product to be welded by grinding, drilling, milling, tapping and cutting stainless steel, carbon steel & aluminum parts, including pipe.
- Ensure all equipment is properly set-up and used in a safe manner and that all safety devises are in use.
- Use grinder, hand file, scraper and/or other tools as necessary.
- Monitor equipment and request maintenance when required.
- Perform simple maintenance and repair as required.
- Willingness to cross-train as back-up in other areas of manufacturing / fabrication facility as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by the Production Manager.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Basic mechanical & electrical skills required.
- Strong math and calculation skills.
- 3-5 years of welding experience preferred, but not required.
- Willingness to work hard and learn what you don’t know.
- The ability to operate precision measuring devices and basic hand-tools and power tools.
- Detail oriented and the ability to multitask under pressure.
- Flexible, positive attitude in an ever-changing environment.
- Able to work with minimal supervision (once fully trained).
- Good communication skills; ability to foster and work in a team oriented environment.
- Ability to follow verbal and/or written instructions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to make timely and sound decisions.
- Detail oriented, with a high degree of follow-through.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Blue print reading skills.
Position Working Environment:
Manufacturing environment. Exposure to environments containing dust, machine noise, and welding equipment. Frequent standing, walking, and lifting loads under 75 pounds.
