ROSE STATE COLLEGE ANNOUNCES AN OPENING IN THE HEALTH SCIENCES DIVISION
POSITION: Professor, Nursing Science
Description of Duties: Responsible for teaching assigned courses in accordance with the course syllabi and the schedule of the Nursing Science Program. Report directly to the Program Director and the Dean, Health Sciences Division. Teach fifteen (15) credit hours per semester and maintain a minimum of fifteen (15) office hours per week. Develop and maintain course syllabi and materials. Teach collaboratively within the Nursing Science Program to include: didactic, laboratory, and clinical components. Assist with student advisement; committee work for the Program and the college. Assist with skills lab testing. Regular attendance is an essential function of this position. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Program Director and/or the Dean, Health Sciences Division. Work under general supervision. Receive training and guidelines from the Program Director.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree in nursing. Registered Nurse holding a valid non-restricted license to practice in the state of Oklahoma. Two (2) years full-time equivalent experience working as an RN or work experience related to nursing education. Light lifting to 10 lbs and light carrying up to 10 lbs. Ability to reach above shoulder. Periods of time spent sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending and stooping. Mobility to move from building to building on-campus and to visit off-campus sites/facilities.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in medical-surgical nursing, women’s and children’s health and/or psych-mental health. Previous teaching experience in a program of nursing education including online education.
