Job Description
Serve as a liaison for written and spoken communication between American and Japanese business professionals. This position is based on-site in Bluffton, Ohio.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB INFORMATION:
- Support the needs of the organization’s short- and long-term dispatches, including coordination of housing and vehicle arrangements.
- Provide Japanese-English language assistance to associates in various professional settings, including communication with external partners via phone, email, and in person.
- Serve as an interpreter during key meetings and discussions.
- Assist Japanese associates and their families with language support for medical visits, school enrollment, and educational meetings.
- Coordinate housing logistics, utility services, home maintenance, and fleet vehicle assignments for Japanese associates and their families.
- Act as the primary contact for both routine and special requests from company.
- Translate a variety of documents between Japanese and English, including board meeting minutes, technical manuals, legal documents, memoranda, and correspondence.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Fluency in both spoken English and Japanese is required.
- Must demonstrate advanced proficiency in reading and writing Japanese kanji (defined as the ability to comprehend at least 75% of a standard Japanese newspaper).
- Prior experience in interpretation and translation is highly preferred.
- A four-year college degree is strongly desired.
