Home & Commercial Power Systems is a Generac, Kohler, and Cummins generator dealer with locations in Buffalo, Farmington and Syracuse, NY. HPS is the leading installer of automatic home standby generators in Western and Central New York having installed over 5,000 home standby generators and has over 10,000 current service and preventive maintenance customers.

Home Power systems is looking to expand our team and is currently seeking a motivated and well-spoken Inside Sales Representative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing leads, communicating with customers, understanding their needs, and ensuring a smooth sales process in our commercial division. You should be able to close sales and meet targets. This opportunity is for an organized individual who is interested in being in control of their own financial future. Candidates for this role should be confident, exhibit a high level of professionalism and possess superior communication and phone presentation skills. This position serves a crucial role in the development and success of the location by cultivating leads, working closely with various departments, and providing exceptional customer service and sales techniques to our existing customers. Pay Range: $60,000-$100,000/year

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Build rapport and establish relationships with customers to provide the right services
  • Place outbound calls to potential customers to understand their needs and identify sales opportunities
  • Follow up on leads, open estimates, cancelled jobs, and completed jobs for additional service opportunities
  • Create and maintain a database of current and potential customers
  • Answer customer questions and email additional information
  • Attend and participate in all required meetings and trainings to continue development of interpersonal and technical skills
  • Explain products and services to customers
  • Be the main point of contact/liaison between your clients and Home and Commercial Power Systems
  • Meet and exceed individual daily, weekly and monthly sales goals
  • Maintain and update customer database with complete and accurate information
  • Keep up with product and service information updates

Skills you’ll bring for success:

  • Minimum 2+ years previous sales experience (Required)
  • Previous experience in commercial service industry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC or construction a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software such as Salesforce
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional customer service and phone skills
  • Strong listening and sales skills
  • Ability to achieve targets
  • Strong attention to detail with problem solving capabilities
  • Proficient at typing & comfortable with computers
