Position Snapshot
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized HR Clerk to support a growing energy organization performing underground work across Long Island and Upstate New York. This temp-to-hire role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate weekly payroll processing, HR data integrity, and administrative compliance for a workforce of approximately 340 employees.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Paylocity, proficiency with Microsoft Excel, and a solid understanding of HR confidentiality, data privacy, and administrative best practices.

What You'll Do


  • Prepare and validate weekly payroll for approximately 340 employees using Paylocity
  • Ensure all employee timekeeping is accurate and approved prior to payroll submission
  • Confirm garnishments, deductions, and other payroll-related items are properly set up and ready for processing
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Perform accurate HR data entry and employee record maintenance within Paylocity and internal systems
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HR privacy standards at all times
  • Assist with general HR administrative tasks as needed
  • Manage and maintain all employee documentation electronically within Google Drive
  • Ensure records are organized, up-to-date, and compliant with company and regulatory standards
  • Support audits and internal reporting requests

    What We're Looking For
  • Prior experience in an HR Clerk or Payroll Support Role
  • Hands-on experience with Paylocity
  • Strong Excel proficiency (data entry, spreadsheets, reporting)
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage deadlines in a weekly payroll cycle
  • Clear understanding of HR confidentiality, compliance, and data privacy
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, operational environment
  • Temp-to-hire interest with a desire for long-term growth
