What’s needed for success:
- Hold an active Colorado SLPA license (required)
- Experience or familiarity with school-based SLPA services
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for working with students, families, and staff
- Organizational skills to efficiently manage caseloads and document student progress
- Ability to adapt instruction and interventions to meet diverse student needs
Key contributions and expectations:
- Work directly with students to deliver speech-language interventions as planned by supervising SLP
- Support development of communication skills in students with a variety of needs
- Implement activities, lessons, and strategies in line with educational goals
- Maintain documentation and accurate records of student progress and session attendance
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, SLPs, and other school professionals
- Participate actively in meetings, training, and ongoing professional development
