SHIPPING CLERK / ASST. SUPERVISOR
POSITION
Established ISO 9001:2015 certified supplier of washers and stamping is seeking an individual with previous shipping clerk/supervisory experience. Individual must be able to prepare forms and documents needed for various shipping and receiving functions. Maintains and verifies records of incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipments per customer requirements.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Contacts customers, vendors and/or carrier services to arrange for delivery or pickup and loading instructions as needed.
- Perform Shipping Supervisor duties when required.
- Create purchase orders for outside processing operations using appropriate lead times
and specifications required.
- Ability to pull and ready customer shipments from stock finished goods inventory using packing lists.
- Perform various clerical tasks using computer, correspondence and keeping files.
- Ability to safely operate powered lift trucks and pallet jacks to load and unload incoming and outgoing transport trucks and load various shaking and packaging equipment.
- Prepares and creates labels for packaged materials and shipments.
- Responsible for accurate weights and piece counts for incoming and outgoing product for outside operations and shipments to customers.
Qualifications:
- Requires good verbal and written communication skills.
- Requires strong clerical skills.
- Strong computer skills required.
- Requires knowledge of logistics.
- Ability to follow instructions and solve problems.
Experience and Education:
- Previous experience as a shipping clerk and supervisor in a manufacturing environment, and a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.

Our scheduled working hours are 6 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Thursday. Extended hours are worked on Friday when required. Hourly position. First shift. The company pays a competitive wage ($17-22 per hr.) based on knowledge and supervisory experience. Opportunity for advancement as well.
