Minimum 1+ years Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This position offers an opportunity to support a middle school student with social emotional disabilities in a one-on-one paraprofessional role. The assignment is full-time during the Extended School Year (ESY) period and involves working closely with the student to provide individualized assistance in a school setting.
Location: Suncook, NH (Middle School)
Job Duration: ESY Contract
Schedule: Full Time, 7:20 am to 2:30 pm
Caseload: 1:1 support with a male middle school student
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personalized support to a student with social emotional disabilities
- Assist with academic and behavioral needs throughout the school day
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to implement individualized plans
- Monitor and encourage positive social interactions and emotional regulation
- Maintain a supportive, patient, and understanding environment
Requirements: - Experience working as a paraprofessional in school settings, ideally supporting students with social emotional challenges
- Ability to work one-on-one and build trusting relationships with students
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Patience, empathy, and adaptability in meeting student needs
