Position Summary
Responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operations in the Receiving Division of the Finance Department at Thistledown Racino.
Essential Functions
- Receives shipments on Receiving Dock; coordinates work flow to ensure timely delivery of supplies to all departments of Thistledown Racino.
- Communicates receiving discrepancies to the Purchasing department.
- Performs data entry function to receive all PO deliveries into the Stratton Warren IP system.
- Receives mail packages, and logs and delivers them on a timely basis.
- Maintains a thorough, working knowledge of dry goods, paper products, chemical supplies, and Food & Beverage specifications.
- Ensures that all shipments are received in good, undamaged condition and of the proper quality.
- Loads and unloads trucks, using fork lifts and electric pallet jacks.
- Maintains inventory storerooms; places orders, rotates stock on a FIFO basis, fills requisitions, cleans.
- Adjusts pars according to business levels and usage history.
- Assists in conducting monthly physical inventories.
- Ensures all materials handling equipment is properly maintained and daily inspection logs completed.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Identifies ways to increase efficiencies or improve product or service.
- Delivers assignments/projects on time and completes all aspects after delivering to internal clients.
- Clearly communicates programs/services to necessary people, seeks their support and keeps them informed of changes that may impact the business.
- Keeps track of existing products/services and/or progress on new initiatives.
- Prepares project plans that aid in moving project forward.
- Stays up to date with the latest developments in the profession.
- Develops skills to handle increasingly complex matters.
- Complies with and upholds company expectations including Code of Commitment, policies, procedures, industry regulations, department goals and business strategy.
- Politely gives consistent, timely and accurate information and finds answer when unsure.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Must be able to lift fifty pounds on a continual basis.
- Successful candidate should be able to safely operate powered materials handling equipment. If not already certified to operate forklifts, would need to become certified within 30 days.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. One (1) to two (2) years’ experience in warehouse operation.
Required Certification/License
- Must be able to obtain an Ohio Lottery Commission Gaming License
