Epic Travel Staffing is looking for a passionate Travel Nurse Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) care. Position Overview
In this role, you will work 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts for a 13-week travel assignment. You’ll be part of a dynamic team, providing top-notch care to patients in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional patient care in a Med Surg setting.
- Utilize your clinical skills, including EKG interpretation and managing cardiac and insulin drips.
- Document patient information accurately using the Meditech system.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for patients.
- Be prepared to float between PCU units or med-surg floors as needed.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Tennessee Nursing License
- 2 years of nursing experience
- Strong critical thinking skills and experience with EKG rhythm interpretation.
- Proficiency in managing cardiac, insulin, and heparin drips.
- Peripheral IV skills are a must.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Experience with peritoneal dialysis is preferred.
Working Conditions
- Shift: Nights (7 PM - 7 AM), 12-hour shifts, every other weekend.
- Patient Ratios: 1:4 to 1:5 on days, 1:5 to 1:6 on nights.
- Facility Size: 630 beds with specialized units.
- Equipment: Familiarity with bipaps, high flow O2, vapotherm, and various drip management systems.
