Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and energetic Licensed Loan Officer to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll work directly with clients to support loan origination, processing, and servicing while ensuring compliance with all industry regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients throughout the loan application process, clearly explaining loan options and requirements
- Collect, review, and verify financial documentation to ensure accuracy for underwriting and approval
- Conduct credit analysis and evaluate borrower qualifications using financial and accounting software
- Communicate and review loan terms with clients while maintaining compliance with Fair Housing and TILA regulations
- Prepare and review contracts, escrow documents, and other mortgage-related paperwork
- Work closely with underwriters, processors, and internal teams to ensure smooth and timely closings
- Stay current on FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines, mortgage servicing standards, and banking regulations
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in financial sales, mortgage origination, or loan processing
- Strong understanding of loan processing and underwriting procedures
- Ability to clearly explain complex financial concepts and build trust with clients
- Familiarity with FNMA guidelines, TILA regulations, Fair Housing laws, and mortgage servicing practices
- Proficiency in financial and accounting software (Quicken or similar tools preferred)
- Strong attention to detail with solid math and data entry skills (10-key experience a plus)
- Knowledge of contracts, credit analysis, escrow procedures, and banking operations
