SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

· Industrial maintenance experience in a wood manufacturing facility is an asset, but not a requirement

· Adaptable to changes in work schedules or tasks; willingness to pitch in

· Physically able to perform tasks in year-round indoor/outdoor environment with varying conditions

· Positive attitude and good communication skills

· Some electrical and/or welding skills are an asset

· A proven track record of adhering to safety is a must.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Plan and perform work effectively

· Keeping downtime to a minimum

· Troubleshooting machinery and equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions

· Adjusting machinery and repairing

· Ensuring safety devices function properly; compliance with workplace safety policies and regulations

· Communicating with team members and management

· Provide tools of the trade (specialty tools will be provided)
