Job DescriptionRequirements
1. Must have the ability to work safely and abide by all Company HSE standards.
2. Must be physically fit to perform heavy manual labor.
3. Must have good communication skills both written and verbal, and the ability to keep accurate records.
4. High school diploma or equivalent required.
6. Proficiently operate all common machining equipment, mills, lathes, grinders, etc.
7. Ability to troubleshoot machine tools, fixtures, dies and molds, perform rework as needed, or machine new components to manufacturing specs and requirements
8. Ability to perform manual machining, CNC machining or both, including setup and operation; Program editing is a plus
9. Expertise at reading and understanding blueprints, CAD drawings and production specifications
10. Must possess own basic tools needed for the position.
11. Must be quality conscious and apply good HSE practices in all repair/maintenance activities.
12. Must be an independent worker and have proven excellent work attendance record.
13. Must have the ability to effectively follow complex instructions.
14. Will be an active member of the ERT.
Duties
1. Responsible for personal safety and compliance with all HSE requirements.
2. Responsible for good housekeeping in work area.
3. Work independently and/or with instructions from Management and/or Engineer.
4. Interact with QA, production, R&D, manufacturing, and maintenance to provide solutions.
5. Maintain accurate documentation of tool modifications, repair, preventative maintenance and individual work performed throughout the shift.
6. Reworking tools and fixtures as needed, or machining new ones to manufacturing specs and requirements
7. Capable of creating a repeatable setup and working to tolerances of +/-.0002" routinely.
8. Coordinate work assigned through various auxiliary work centers and equipment as required
9. Occasionally assist operators and maintenance with machine or processing issues.
10. Performing manual machining, including setup and operation
11. Must have the ability and skills to use maintenance hand and power tools.
12. Will operate a lift truck as required.
13. Any other duties that may be required of the position, including but not limited to plumbing, light fixtures, heaters and lift truck/man-lift repairs.
14. Familiarity with purchasing and maintaining inventory a plus.
