Shop Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Shop Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for handling mechanical assemblies, interpreting blueprints, and performing repairs and maintenance on various machinery. Our ideal candidate is someone who is looking to make a long-term commitment and potentially become a partner in our company.
Responsibilities
- Work from blueprints to disassemble pumps, valves, and machines.
- Repair or replace broken or misused parts of each piece.
- Use blueprints and Bill of Materials (BOM) to reassemble each machine.
- Perform light manual machining on a manual lathe.
- Operate a forklift to move materials around the shop.
- Perform pickups and drop-offs of materials.
- Complete general labor and cleaning duties as assigned.
- Take ownership of each project from start to finish, including minimal light electrical work.
Essential Skills
- At least 6 months of hands-on mechanical work experience.
- Ability to read and interpret factory set blueprints and drawings.
- Proficiency with calipers and micrometers.
- Basic welding skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with mechanical assembly, automotive repair, and machine repairs.
- No specific educational requirements.
- Desire to become a partner in the company.

Work Environment
The work environment is a small shop where a few pieces are worked on at a time. You will be trained by an experienced foreman with extensive knowledge of the equipment. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy taking ownership of their work and working independently. Please note that the shop can be cold in the winter and warm in the summer.

This is a Permanent position based out of Oakdale, Pennsylvania.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $52000.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in McDonald,PA.
