Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contracted Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for a dynamic K-12 educational setting located in Newport News, VA. This role requires being on-site to provide comprehensive speech and language services across Elementary, Middle, and High School levels throughout the 25/26 school year. The commitment is 37.5 hours per week, ensuring consistent and impactful therapy support for students.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting thorough assessments and evaluations to determine student needs
- Delivering direct, personalized speech-language therapy to support diverse learners
- Collaborating with educators and families by actively participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
- Maintaining detailed documentation and progress reports in accordance with school and regulatory standards
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY), or eligibility for School SLP certification
- Experience and comfort working within K-12 educational environments
- Strong communication and organizational skills to effectively manage caseloads and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
