Job Summary
Our Field Service Technicians are on the front lines of our customer service team. Hot tubs and saunas can provide significant health benefits when used regularly so it's important that we provide accurate and timely diagnosis and repair if a customer calls for service and our service technicians are the critical piece in making that happen.
A typical day involves traveling to customers' homes and providing these diagnostic and repair services for the products they've purchased including hot tubs, saunas, covanas, etc. This position is expected to work from home after the initial training period; however, all equipment including company vehicle, phone, tools, fuel card, etc. are all provided. All training hours are paid including CEU's for ongoing electrical licensing requirements.
Responsibilities and Duties
As mentioned in the job summary, the primary responsibility of the Field Service Tech is to diagnose and repair our products. Additional duties include:
- Daily routing of individual jobs
- Accurate and thorough completion of service orders
- Communicate with customers about diagnosis and repairs needed
- Work with customers to help determine root cause of service issues
- Identify sales opportunities for additional products and services, and make recommendations
- Timely completion of all warranty paperwork
- Shipping parts to respective manufacturer for warranty credit
- Submit daily parts orders to the service manager for restock of service van
- Maintain current electrical license as required by state law
- Update product knowledge on consistent basis through available channels
- Ensure service vehicle is maintained at proper intervals
- Keep accurate inventory counts and stock levels in service vehicle
Qualifications and Skills
To be qualified for this position applicants must:
- Possess a current, valid Washington state driver's license
- Have no more than one minor moving infraction during the previous three years
- Possess a current 07, 07B, 07D or higher electrical license issued by Washington State
- Have an understanding of basic principles related to electrical circuit diagnosis and repair
Ideal candidates will have a minimum of two to three years' experience as a maintenance or appliance repair technician.
