Job/Duties
- Performs variety of electronic and mechanical subassembly and assembly operations of a repetitive nature to build up units such as PC boards, cable harness and simple electronic/mechanical assemblies
- May perform routine tasks in preparation for assembly such as cutting, stripping, wiring, and fastening connections
- May do reworks
- Must be able to pull raw cable and strip cable
- Working from diagrams or established production practices
- Using small hand tools such as soldering iron, wire strippers, crimpers, etc.
- May use potting material and other chemicals for building product
- May operate drill presses, etc
- Must have excellent soldering skills and fine hand/eye coordination
- Must be able to work on small color coded boards
- Must be able to work from prints and engineering specifications
Qualifications
1 to 3 years of experience
Complex assembly skills
Excellent fine soldering skills
Experience in electronic construction/repair of PC Cards/wiring
Experience in cable assembly
Some electrical theory preferred
Education
High School/Trade School
You should be proficient in:
- Electrical Schematics
- Machine Building/Assembling
- Soldering
- Mechanical Assembly Skills
- Blueprint Reading
