Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years CVOR RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract opportunity is ideal for Registered Nurses with a solid background in acute CVOR settings who are ready to contribute to patient care during complex cardiovascular procedures.
Schedule/Hours:
- Day shift coverage with two RNs and two techs per shift
- On-call rotation required: approximately every other day and every other weekend
Qualifications:
- Active RN licensure with a minimum of 2 years of current experience in an acute CVOR setting
- Certification in ACLS and BLS required
- Familiarity with open heart instrumentation, TEE equipment, and Ultrasound
- Experience with minimally invasive cardiac procedures is preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience and adaptability to a fast-paced unit are advantages
- Proficiency in Meditech documentation system beneficial
Responsibilities:
- Participate in and provide high-quality care for procedures such as CABG, MVR, AVR, pacemaker insertions, laser lead extractions, thoracic and some endovascular interventions, and standby for TVAR and mitral clips
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate perioperative care for cardiovascular patients
- Maintain sterile procedures, organize necessary equipment and medications, and ensure proper specimen handling
- Accurately document procedure progress, outcomes, and follow safety and quality control standards
- Provide cross-coverage in service lines including Vascular, Robotics, General Surgery, Ortho, Neuro/Spine, Urology, Podiatry, Thoracic Surgery, and Plastic Surgery as needed
