Position: Surgery Scheduler
Location: Mesquite, TX (Onsite)
Pay Range: $20–$23 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
Position Overview:
A high-volume medical clinic is seeking an experienced Surgery Scheduler to support daily patient scheduling and coordination of surgical procedures. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple providers and a high patient volume.
This is a fully onsite position in Mesquite, TX.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures for multiple providers
- Manage a high volume of scheduling requests (25–30 patients per day)
- Answer patient questions related to insurance coverage and payments
- Work with both commercial and government insurance plans
- Ensure all scheduling details are accurate and complete
- Communicate with patients, providers, and internal staff to coordinate care
- Assist with additional clinic responsibilities as needed
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience scheduling medical procedures (non-office based)
- Strong understanding of insurance coverage (commercial and government)
- Experience working in a high-volume medical environment
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of surgical scheduling workflows and anesthesia coordination
- Experience in ophthalmology
- Candidates with ophthalmic technician experience open to training are also encouraged to apply
