Their primary responsibility will be to provide counseling, advocacy, and support to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. What your day will look like:
- Implement agency policies, procedures, and ethical standards, including confidentiality and proper record keeping.
- Facilitate individual and group support sessions for survivors and their loved ones.
- Collaborate with survivors to develop personalized goals and safety plans.
- Provide crisis intervention services for children, families, and individuals.
- Support clients in identifying and strengthening resources, support systems, and coping strategies.
- Assess and respond to lethality risks, including suicide risk, using appropriate protocols.
- Build partnerships with external organizations to expand access to services and support groups.
- Accurately document all services and advocacy efforts provided to clients.
- Collect and input required data for monthly reporting and program evaluation.
- Foster respectful, collaborative relationships with colleagues to improve services and address challenges.
- Collaborate with other Turning Point programs to support overall organizational goals.
- Report emergency situations affecting staff or clients to leadership as required.
- Travel to the Mount Clemens office as needed for meetings
What we are looking for:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field
- 1+ year of experience in domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking
- Full or limited licensure required (e.g., LLMSW, LLPC, LMSW)
- Reliable transportation, valid Michigan Driver’s License, insurance, and good driving record
- Flexible with job duties and schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed
- Willingness and ability to travel to various sites/agencies as needed
