This prestigious medical center is recognized for providing the most comprehensive heart care in Wisconsin, featuring a top-rated cardiac surgery program, award-winning interventional and heart failure services, the state's first and most successful heart transplant program (including multi-organ transplants), and durable mechanical circulatory support initiatives. Additionally, we have the largest remote hemodynamic monitoring program in the state, as well as accredited programs for pulmonary hypertension, congenital heart disease, and cardio-oncology. Our advanced electrophysiology interventional program and a state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization lab operate 24/7, offering a full range of advanced percutaneous interventions for our cardiogenic shock team, along with the largest structural heart program in the state.

Key Highlights

  • Full-time opportunity in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology

  • Collaborate with 7 Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant Cardiologists and 4 skilled Cardiac Surgeons

  • Participate in outreach clinics approximately one day per week

  • Required skills include proficiency in Cath lab procedures, such as invasive hemodynamic assessments, myocardial biopsies, diagnostic coronary angiograms (optional), urgent temporary MCS devices (optional), and PA pressure sensor implants (optional)

  • On-call duties will be limited to the AHFT team

  • Encouragement to engage in the medical education of general cardiology & AHFT fellows, internal medicine residents, and medical students, as well as regional cardiovascular conferences hosted by our organization

  • Involvement in ongoing research related to advanced heart failure, transplant, MCS, and PAH

  • Utilization of EPIC EMR

  • Join a nationally recognized organization with a physician-led medical group and integrated service line

  • Access to DAX Copilot, an AI-driven clinical documentation tool integrated with Epic, which streamlines workflows by generating draft patient notes for efficient review and editing

  • Work in an environment that prioritizes safe and equitable care for all patients

  • Base salary of $559,301 with the potential for an annual incentive bonus of up to $50K

  • Sign-on bonus of $50K

Training and Experience Required

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in cardiovascular disease

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in advanced heart failure and transplant

  • Successful completion of a fellowship in advanced heart failure and transplant
