The Driver is responsible for the pick-up and delivery of customer materials using company owned vehicles within a 60-mile radius of our facility in Hatfield, PA. The hours for the role are Monday through Friday, 7am to 3:30pm OR 6:30am to 3pm.

Responsibilities

  • Picks up materials at customers facilities and deliveries them to LTI, as directed and scheduled by the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor.
  • Delivers materials to customer facilities following job completion, as directed and scheduled by the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor.
  • Insures that all required paperwork accompanies the pick-ups and deliveries and required signatures are obtained from authorized persons.
  • Provides outstanding customer service, displaying a friendly, courteous, and professional demeanor at all times.
  • Maintains a neat and clean personal appearance at all times.
  • Adheres to all traffic laws at all times.
  • Inspects, services, and maintains all assigned vehicles, equipment, and other property assigned in excellent condition. This includes, but is not limited to, regularly checking vehicle tire pressures and tread wear, checking fluid levels, checking the condition of belts and hoses, and maintaining the cleanliness of both the interior and exterior of assigned vehicle. Any mechanical concerns and vehicle damage are to be reported to the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains assigned work area(s) in a clean, organized, and safe condition at all times.
  • Understands and complies with LTI’s QA Program at all times.
  • Seeks clarification when specifications or directions are unclear.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures at all times.
  • Follows all safety rules and regulations at all times and utilizes personal protective equipment, as required.
  • Assists with other shipping and receiving responsibilities as time permits or as assigned to support and improve the overall team operations.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor or the Sales Manager.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.
  • One (1) or more year(s) relevant truck driving experience.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and DOT medical card required.
  • Ability to operate and maintain vehicles and other equipment in a safe manner at all times.
  • Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving skills.
  • Able to follow directions and read road maps.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must currently possess and maintain a clean and satisfactory driving record.
  • Must be comfortable operating cargo van and stake body truck. Forklifts, monorail crane, and other packaging and material handling tools and equipment are also utilized.
  • Must have the ability to push, pull, lift and/or carry up to one hundred (100) pounds.

This position requires use of information or access to processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export laws including but not limited to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). In accordance with ITAR, to be qualified to work in this facility, applicants must be a US Person, which is defined as a US National, US Permanent Resident, and certain categories of Asylees and Refugees.
