Sara Walker with Robert Half is looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team in Portland, Oregon. This role involves overseeing payroll processes for a large workforce in a multi-state corporate environment. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in payroll systems, tax regulations, and employee support, ensuring smooth and accurate payroll operations.
Responsibilities:
• Manage semi-monthly payroll processing for over 800 employees using Ceridian Dayforce.
• Audit and verify automated timesheets to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Address and resolve discrepancies related to time data and payroll calculations.
• Handle garnishments, payroll tax filings, and other complex payroll functions.
• Process final pay for departing employees in accordance with company policies and regulations.
• Respond promptly to employee inquiries concerning payroll, taxes, and timesheets.
• Ensure compliance with multi-state payroll regulations and tax requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain payroll accuracy and resolve issues.
• Maintain detailed records of payroll activities and ensure data confidentiality.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in complex payroll processing.
• Proficiency in using Ceridian Dayforce or similar payroll systems.
• Strong knowledge of payroll taxes and garnishment processes.

• Ability to manage multi-state payroll requirements and compliance regulations.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills to address employee concerns and collaborate with teams.
• Ability to work in a hybrid schedule, including regular full days onsite in Portland, Oregon.
