Production Control Clerk

Location: Fort Rucker, Alabama

This opportunity is contingent upon contract award

Summary:

Inspects, compiles, and records data for the project manager to compare records and reports production, consumption of material, quality control, and work performance efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Compiles and records data from customer orders, work tickets, product specifications, and individual worker production sheets following prescribed recording procedures and using different word processing techniques.
  • Calculates types and quantities of items produced, materials used, amount of scrap, frequency of defects, and worker and department production rates, using a computer, calculator, and/or spreadsheets.
  • Writes production reports based on data compiled, tabulated and computed, following prescribed formats, maintaining files of documents used and prepared, compiling detailed production sheets or work tickets for use by production workers as guides in maintaining quality of work within the scope of the contract.
  • Prepares written schedules based on established guidelines and priorities, compiles material inventory records and prepares requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies charts production using chart, graph, or pegboard based on statistics compiled for reference by management personnel.
  • Establishes, records, and reports findings of a detailed quality control program, ensuring that tasks identified within this PWS are met to an acceptable quality level.
  • Ensures deficiencies identified through inspection are tracked and followed to completion or correction.
  • Advises supervisors of deficiencies and recommends corrective actions to be taken.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum three (3) years experience in production control systems, programs policies, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • US Citizen
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships, professional demeanor, and attitude
  • Ability to work cooperatively with military and civilian workforce
  • High School diploma or GED
