Job Title: QC Microbiology Analyst

Job Description

As a QC Microbiology Analyst, you will be responsible for environmental monitoring in a clean room or GMP environment. This role involves micro sampling, personnel sampling, surface plating, and equipment monitoring. You will work extensively with the MODA database and receive comprehensive EM training. Additionally, you will analyze and read plates after incubation and conduct testing for active air viables, passive air viables, and surface viables.

Responsibilities

  • Perform environmental monitoring within clean room or GMP environment.
  • Conduct micro sampling, personnel sampling, and surface plating.
  • Work with the MODA database for data management and reporting.
  • Receive and apply extensive EM training.
  • Monitor and maintain equipment.
  • Analyze and interpret microbiological plates after incubation.
  • Test for active air viables, passive air viables, and surface viables.

Essential Skills

  • 1+ year of environmental monitoring experience.
  • Experience working in an aseptic or GMP environment.
  • 1-3 years of experience with sampling, personnel monitoring, and surface plating.
  • Proficiency in aseptic techniques and basic microbiology knowledge.
  • Familiarity with air/water sampling and environmental monitoring.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related scientific field.
  • Knowledge of microbiology techniques.
  • Gowning certification.
  • Experience with cleaning, incubation, and sub-culturing.
  • Ability to work with microorganisms and perform plating, cell counts, and gram staining.

Work Environment

  • This role requires working in a clean room aseptic environment.
  • The position is available on the 2nd shift with the following schedules: Sunday to Wednesday from 3:30am to 2:00pm, and Wednesday to Saturday from 3:30pm to 2:00am.
  • Initial training will be conducted on the first shift from Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, for 4-6 weeks.
  • A gowning qualification is required to effectively perform the duties in this role.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Allendale, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
