That’s where you come in. We’re looking for an Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist who can balance firmness with empathy. You’ll manage patient accounts, follow up on outstanding balances, and help keep our revenue cycle running smoothly—while remembering that every account represents a real person.
About the Role:
This is a full-time opportunity working remote with a requirement to live in the State of Oregon. The position has an expectation of 40hrs per week, and we are proud to offer a great benefits package. Our Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist recruiting pay range is $19.59 – $23.61.
What will you do:
- Review and take corrective action on denied and underpaid claims to collect revenue due from insurance carriers in a timely manner.
- Initiates claim appeals and follow through to resolution ensuring the collection of monies due from all insurance sources.
- Review and process patient statements.
- Review and process mail returns.
- Review and process accounts for collection activity.
- Process financial assistance applications.
- Review and process patient refunds.
Requirements:
What do you need to bring to the role:
- Education/Experience: Two years’ experience in medical business office environment preferred and a high school diploma or GED required.
