Landscape Architect position is responsible for leading the planning, design, and execution of site development projects while managing client relationships, project budgets, and multidisciplinary coordination.
Accountabilities:
Project Management
Serve as Project Manager for civil and land development projects, overseeing scope, schedule, and budget
Lead and coordinate internal teams, subconsultants, utility providers, and municipal agencies
Develop and manage project work plans, staffing, and resource allocation
Monitor project financial performance, including budgeting, invoicing, and profitability
Identify project risks and implement solutions to maintain timelines and deliverables
Prepare proposals, fee estimates, and client correspondence
Landscape Architecture & Site Design
- Lead the preparation of site layouts for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments
- Perform site due diligence including zoning analysis, utility verification, and review of surveys and geotechnical reports
- Develop landscape and hardscape designs for streetscapes, plazas, parks, courtyards, and trails
- Prepare grading concepts, stormwater considerations, planting plans, and construction documentation
- Produce detailed construction drawings, specifications, and plant selections
- Ensure compliance with zoning regulations, environmental requirements, and municipal standards
- Permitting & Entitlements
- Prepare and coordinate land development plans, applications, and supporting documents for municipal approvals
- Support entitlement processes and respond to agency comments
- Coordinate across disciplines to ensure complete and accurate submission packages
Client Relations & Business Development
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Support business development efforts, including proposals and presentations
- Identify opportunities for repeat work and new projects
- Leadership & Collaboration
- Mentor and support junior staff development
- Collaborate with civil engineers, planners, and environmental professionals
- Participate in QA/QC processes to ensure high-quality deliverables
Qualifications
Minimum 5+ years of project management experience in civil/site or land development projects
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong knowledge of site design, grading, and land development principles
Technical Skills
AutoCAD and Civil 3D
Adobe Creative Suite
Microsoft Office Suite
SketchUp and presentation graphics tools
Experience with permitting processes and municipal approvals
