We are a private, multi-location Optometric practice that is seeing significant growth and are looking for top-notch team members with the passion, energy, focus and commitment to excel in this type of environment. The average work week will be approximately 40 hours/week.
Position Overview:
Our team is growing, and we are hiring an experienced Office Manager to oversee and manage our offices. In this role you will drive exceptional customer satisfaction, manage day – to – day operations and lead and develop a team of dedicated optical professionals. In this role you will be responsible for the following:
- Recruit, train, mentor, motivate, and supervise a high-performing team of optical associates.
- Foster a positive work environment encouraging collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
- Set sales targets and motivate staff to meet and exceed those goals.
- Prepare schedules and ensure they are communicated and adjusted, when needed, in a timely manner to meet staff coverage objectives.
- Lead staff meetings and cascade communications from leadership to ensure all associates stay informed.
- Stay informed on industry trends and technologies and leverage that information to develop teams’ knowledge and skills.
- Oversee stock levels and work with the inventory specialist to order new eyewear products and merchandising as needed.
- Champion a customer centric culture and manage customer complaints and issues promptly and in a professional manner from identification to resolution.
- Manage staff conflicts, complaints, and problems.
- Ensure compliance with various health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the general manager.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned to support the overall success of the office.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED, college degree preferred.
- 3 years of experience in retail supervisory roles with a track record of achieving sales targets
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Exceptional customer service skills and commitment to a positive shopping experience
- Knowledge of eyewear products, industry trends and optical technologies is a plus
- Ability to stay organized and manage time effectively.
- Strengths in leadership, management, team building, and proactive problem-solving
- Adhere to company policies on attendance, dress code and workplace safety.
