Position Summary
A leading organization specializing in logistics and supply chain solutions is seeking experienced Regional CDL A Drivers to join our dedicated fleet operation based in Aurora, Colorado. This is an excellent opportunity for professional drivers who value consistency, competitive compensation, and predictable home time. You'll be part of a stable, dedicated fleet serving the Denver metropolitan region with established routes and reliable freight. If you're an experienced driver looking for weekly home time and steady work, we want to hear from you. This role offers the perfect balance between professional growth and work-life balance for drivers committed to excellence in the transportation industry.
Core Responsibilities
As a Regional CDL A Driver, you will operate commercial vehicles across established routes throughout Colorado, primarily servicing the Denver metro area and surrounding regions. Your primary responsibilities include safely transporting freight using live unload and drop hook procedures, requiring no-touch freight handling on most loads. You'll maintain a consistent schedule of approximately 1,700 miles per week across six loads, averaging thirteen stops weekly.
Your routes will cover key territories including Vail (75 miles from hub), Rifle (85 miles from hub), and Aurora (100 miles from hub), ensuring you remain within regional boundaries. You'll be responsible for pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, maintaining accurate logbooks and delivery documentation, and communicating proactively with dispatch regarding load status and arrival times. Safety, on-time delivery, and professional customer interaction are paramount in this position.
You will operate independently as a solo driver while maintaining regular communication with our operations team. Exceptional attention to detail, defensive driving practices, and adherence to Department of Transportation regulations are essential daily expectations. You'll also maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any maintenance issues promptly to ensure fleet reliability.
Must-Have Requirements
Candidates must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record. A minimum of three months recent commercial driving experience is required. You must be at least 21 years old and pass comprehensive background screening, including criminal history and driving record verification.
You'll need to demonstrate proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and basic computer skills for documenting loads and communicating with dispatch. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for coordinating with customers and internal teams. Reliability and consistency are non-negotiable—this dedicated fleet depends on drivers who show up on time and maintain professional standards.
Physical capabilities must include the ability to perform pre-trip inspections, operate vehicles for extended periods, and remain alert throughout shifts. A valid passport or enhanced driver's license is preferred for potential cross-border operations. You must be willing to comply with all company safety policies and undergo random drug and alcohol testing as required by federal regulations.
Benefits and Perks
This position offers competitive compensation with average weekly earnings of $1,625 and top weekly pay reaching $1,650. Annual salary ranges from $84,500 to $85,800, providing financial stability and predictability. Home weekly benefits mean you'll spend your evenings and weekends with family, unlike long-haul positions requiring extended time away.
Additional benefits include comprehensive health insurance coverage, dental and vision plans, and retirement planning options. We provide paid time off, holiday pay, and a driver loyalty program recognizing tenure and performance. Professional development opportunities, including safety training and advancement pathways, are available for dedicated team members.
You'll enjoy stable, consistent work with established routes eliminating the uncertainty of load boards. Our dedicated fleet model means you're not competing for freight—your loads are scheduled in advance. We also offer fuel cards, vehicle maintenance support, and modern equipment to ensure you're operating safe, reliable trucks. Access to driver support resources and responsive customer service makes this more than just a job—it's a career foundation.
