Salary Range: $65,000 - $103,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement PLC programs for automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform rigorous testing and debugging of PLC code to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Execute on-site commissioning and start-up of new machinery and control systems.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic support for existing PLC-controlled processes.
  • Modify and optimize existing PLC programs to improve efficiency, productivity, and safety.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including program logic and electrical schematics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define control requirements and integrate automation solutions.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in PLC programming within a manufacturing or industrial automation environment.
  • Proficiency with major PLC platforms (e.g., Rockwell Studio 5000, Siemens TIA Portal) and associated programming languages (Ladder Logic, Structured Text).
  • Demonstrated experience with HMI/SCADA system development and industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profinet).
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex automation systems and control issues.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience developing HMI/SCADA applications.
  • Proficiency in industrial robotics or machine vision programming.
  • Familiarity with database integration (e.g., SQL) or IIoT protocols (e.g., OPC UA, MQTT).
  • Experience utilizing version control systems (e.g., Git) for code management.
  • Proficiency in high-level programming languages (e.g., Python, C#) for custom tools or data analysis.
