Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and hands-on Senior Accounting Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the company’s full-cycle bookkeeping, preparing essential financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow), and ensuring timely and accurate tax filings.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional who can bridge the gap between daily transactional accounting and high-level financial reporting to maintain the organization’s financial integrity.

Responsibilities:

• Bookkeeping & Daily Operations:
• • Perform full-cycle bookkeeping and manage daily financial transactions, including full oversight of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R).
  • Coordinate the end-to-end invoicing process, process vendor payments accurately, and manage collections.
  • Monitor daily cash flow and bank balances to ensure liquidity for operational needs.
• Month-End Close & Financial Reporting:
• • Lead the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure all accounts are reconciled accurately.
  • Prepare and generate comprehensive financial documents on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, specifically Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow statements.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure all general ledger (GL) entries align with financial statements.
• Tax Preparation & Compliance:
• • Manage and execute various types of tax filings (including but not limited to sales tax, corporate tax, etc.) to ensure accurate and timely submissions.
  • Maintain an organized filing system for all financial records and tax-related documentation.
  • Ensure all financial activities comply with company policies, local tax laws, and industry regulations.
• Variance Analysis & Process Improvement:
• • Analyze financial data and general ledger accounts to identify discrepancies or variances between actual spending and budgeted amounts.
  • Continuously refine internal workflows to enhance bookkeeping accuracy and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5-10 years of proven experience in an accounting or full-charge bookkeeping role (experience in the construction or real estate development industry is highly valued).
• Demonstrated ability to perform full-cycle bookkeeping, independently prepare core financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow), and process various tax filings (including sales tax).
• Strong experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills: Must be highly proficient in functions such as Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and data manipulation.
• Strong analytical mindset with a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to meet strict month-end close and tax deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain financial data to non-finance colleagues.
• Familiarity with AIA documents and construction-specific billing/change orders is a significant plus.
• Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese) to effectively communicate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
