The Clinician provides comprehensive mental health services to clients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of emotional and behavioral issues. This role involves delivering individual and group therapy, developing and implementing personalized treatment plans, and working collaboratively with agency partners. Additionally, the Clinician collaborates with clients to develop effective strategies for enhancing their lives and relationships, fostering overall mental well-being.
Qualifications:
1. Clinician Trainee - Graduation from an accredited undergraduate program with major in social work, psychology, behavior analysis, or other related degree required.
2. Clinician Trainee - Master of Arts or Master of Science degree in progress from an accredited graduate program with major in Social Work, Counseling, or other related degree required. These degrees must be license eligible (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC).
3. Clinician I - Master of Arts or Master of Science degree from an accredited graduate program with major in Social Work, Counseling, or other related degree required. These degrees must be license eligible (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC).
4. BBS registration, licenses, credentials or like certifications must remain active and valid with their governing entity, if applicable.
5. One year of experience working with children preferred.
6. Knowledge of community resourced preferred.
7. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Excel, Word.
8. Bilingual required
9. A valid California driver’s license is required of staff who have regular driving duties and the driving record must meet the requirements of their position and be approved by the agency’s insurance company.

Responsibilities:
1. Provide direct clinical services to clients.
2. Utilize program specific screening tools, providing admission assessment and treatment planning for clients.
3. Keep comprehensive clinical records that meet standards of the agency, The Joint Commission and contract.
4. Collaborate with the referring agency or other community agencies working with the client to coordinate treatment.
5. Collect outcome data and consumer satisfaction data as required by the agency and contractor.
6. Must implement program goals and objectives to meet and maintain contractual requirements and productivity.
7. Effectively navigate and utilize all required electronic health records (EHR).
8. Schedule and participate in community outreach, education, and presentations.
9. Utilize LOCUS and Child Adolescent Needs and Strengths tool for treatment planning.
10. Participate in scheduled peer review.
11. Responsible for preventing and controlling infection.
12. Responsible for maintaining a culture of quality and safety.
13. Effectively use de-escalation skills and techniques for crisis prevention.
14. Properly administer the C-SSRS to help prevent suicide.
15. Interaction is appropriate and sensitive to client’s culture. Interaction is appropriate with client’s developmental level.
