As a Personal Lines Sales Agent, you will serve as the first point of contact for many of our new clients. You'll listen actively, assess individual needs, and recommend coverage that fits both lifestyle and budget. You'll play a key role in growing our client base and strengthening long-term relationships through exceptional service and follow-up.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a pipeline of personal lines prospects through referrals, inbound leads, and outreach
  • Conduct thorough coverage reviews and prepare customized insurance proposals
  • Educate clients on policy options, coverage limits, and benefits in a clear and approachable way
  • Cross-sell and upsell based on lifestyle needs (auto, home, umbrella, pet, etc.)
  • Accurately prepare and submit applications using rating tools and carrier platforms
  • Document all activity and follow-ups using our agency systems (HawkSoft, EZLynx, etc.)
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for each client
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales goals with professionalism and integrity
  • Collaboration: Work closely with our service team and producers to provide a seamless experience.
  • Compliance & Integrity: Uphold industry standards, ethics, and regulatory requirements.


Requirements

  • Licensing: Must hold a valid California Property & Casualty insurance license.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in personal lines insurance sales or a client-facing service role within the insurance industry.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain coverage clearly and build lasting client relationships.
  • Client-Oriented: Demonstrated ability to anticipate client needs and provide personalized, high-quality service.
  • Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and consistently achieve sales goals.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using agency management systems (e.g., HawkSoft), comparative raters, and standard communication tools.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Able to assess client risk, identify coverage gaps, and deliver appropriate personal insurance solutions.
