Principal Operations Research Analyst

We have an immediate opening for a Principal Systems Analyst who will support the Navy's innovative Robotics and Autonomous Program Office in San Diego, CA. The salary for this position depends on experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead critical efforts to integrate unmanned systems supporting the Lead Systems Integrator for the Navy for multiple unmanned systems across surface, air and subsurface domains.
  • Lead high performing teams in developing and executing system architecture and design, systems documentation, systems requirements, and systems verification.
  • Support live, virtual and constructive test events throughout the RDT&E phases and transition of unmanned capabilities to the Fleet and Joint Force. Tasks may include planning, execution, data collection and analysis efforts to establish fieldable capability at an accelerated pace.
  • Be responsible for validating test plans for submission and approval to requisite authorities, such as the FAA, that are DoD compliant.
  • Provide direct systems support to Government stakeholders and serve as a team lead for key technical projects including the Navy's portion of the Robotics and Autonomous Program.
  • Coordinate efforts across the DoD services, to include multiple government and industry partners. Establish strong leadership roles with value added contribution in various related Integrated Product Teams and Working Groups. Accelerate unmanned systems CONOPs, doctrine, and TTP development.
  • Provide periodic program reviews and technical presentations to high-ranking Government stakeholders.
  • Manage additional assigned projects to include staffing and associated budget.
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Develop and execute a growth strategy for the Navy Group that aligns with Capstone Research's growth strategy.

Requirements:

  • BS degree in a technical field with 20+ years of technical and project management experience. Master's degree is highly desired.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and execute complex system of systems integration efforts from initial concept definition through integration and test, incorporating complex threat scenarios.
  • Experience running complex system of systems programs/projects across their lifecycle from concept definition through fielding and sustainment.
  • Experience with and in-depth knowledge of DoD operations, concepts, and technologies
  • Ability to grow technical efforts and take on task leadership for the Company.
  • Good problem-solving skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 6 times per year with multiple destinations.
  • Top Secret Security Clearance TS/SCI preferred
  • Must be US Citizen
