About the Role:

The Truck Driver position is critical to ensuring the safe and timely transportation of goods across various distances and routes. This role involves operating commercial vehicles such as dump trucks, tractor trailers, and box trucks to deliver materials efficiently while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the vehicle in optimal condition, performing routine inspections, and addressing minor maintenance issues to prevent delays. This position requires a strong understanding of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations to ensure compliance and promote road safety. Ultimately, the Truck Driver plays a vital role in supporting the supply chain by delivering products reliably and professionally.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A.
  • Proven experience in truck driving with a clean driving record.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance standards.
  • Ability to perform basic truck maintenance and safety inspections.
  • Physical ability to handle loading and unloading tasks as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience driving dump trucks, tractor trailers, and box trucks.
  • Familiarity with GPS and route planning technology.
  • Additional endorsements on CDL such as hazardous materials or tanker endorsements.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous experience in logistics or supply chain operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate commercial vehicles including dump trucks, tractor trailers, and box trucks to transport goods to designated locations.
  • Comply with all DOT regulations and company policies to ensure safe driving practices and legal compliance.
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to identify and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and delivery records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues.
