Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a genuine impact supporting middle school students as a School Psychologist in the San Juan Capistrano area. This full-time, contract position places you at a single middle school, providing vital expertise throughout the school day from August 17th to November 20th. Collaborate with education professionals to help students achieve success academically, socially, and emotionally in an engaging and rewarding environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in School Psychology or a closely related field is required
  • Current and valid PPS (Pupil Personnel Services) certification
  • Previous experience serving as a School Psychologist in a middle school setting is highly valued
  • Strong assessment, evaluation, and counseling skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities
  • Capability to work on-site and adapt to school culture

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and indirect psychological services to middle school students
  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and assessments
  • Work collaboratively with educational staff and parents to develop individualized support plans
  • Participate in eligibility, IEP, and intervention meetings
  • Support crisis intervention and help foster a safe, inclusive school climate
  • Provide consultation and resources to educators on behavioral and learning challenges
  • Maintain thorough, confidential documentation and reports in accordance with district and state regulations
