Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher, supporting students’ diverse learning needs in a dynamic middle school environment. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work on-site in a supportive setting with schedules that align with the school calendar. We are seeking two dedicated professionals for positions in Northglenn and Thornton. Assignments include either a 7-week, full-time Learning Services role (mild-moderate caseload) or a full-time/part-time role as both a Significant Support Needs (SSN) Teacher and Learning Specialist, serving students with a variety of academic and social needs.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid Colorado Department of Education Teacher License with Special Education Generalist (Ages 5-21) Endorsement
  • Experience working with middle school students preferred
  • Strong understanding of mild to moderate learning differences or significant support needs
  • Ability to create inclusive and engaging individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Satisfactory fingerprint background check and timely completion of all district credentialing requirements

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and support to students with IEPs, based on their unique learning goals
  • Manage a full or partial caseload depending on the chosen assignment, working with both general education and special education teams
  • Collaborate with parents, staff, and related service providers to promote academic and social growth
  • Monitor, document, and report on student progress in alignment with district and state requirements
  • Implement evidence-based practices and accommodations tailored to students’ strengths and needs
