Job Title: Medical Technologist
Location: Liberty Township, OH 45069
Assignment Type: Contract (3 Months)
Shift: Night Shift (3 × 12-hour shifts per week | 36 hours/week)

Position Overview:

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Technologist to join a clinical laboratory team in Liberty Township, OH. This role involves performing a broad range of routine and complex laboratory tests to assist healthcare providers in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced hospital laboratory environment and is committed to delivering accurate and timely results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform waived, moderate, and high-complexity laboratory testing in compliance with CLIA regulations
  • Conduct testing across multiple disciplines including chemistry, microbiology, hematology, serology, urinalysis, and immunohematology
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment
  • Execute quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results
  • Troubleshoot instrumentation issues and implement corrective actions
  • Prepare reagents, standards, and controls following established protocols
  • Review, validate, and report test results in a timely and accurate manner
  • Ensure proper disposal of biohazardous, chemical, and radioactive waste per safety guidelines
  • Collaborate with physicians, pathologists, and lab personnel to support patient care
  • Assist with inventory management and supply ordering as needed
  • Stay current with laboratory advancements, methodologies, and best practices

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field
  • Active ASCP certification (MLT, MT, or MLS) required
  • Strong understanding of clinical laboratory operations and testing procedures
  • Familiarity with multiple laboratory departments and methodologies
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a high-volume setting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications (e.g., MS Word, Excel, laboratory information systems)
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant laboratory experience preferred
