Location: Liberty Township, OH 45069
Assignment Type: Contract (3 Months)
Shift: Night Shift (3 × 12-hour shifts per week | 36 hours/week)
Position Overview:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Technologist to join a clinical laboratory team in Liberty Township, OH. This role involves performing a broad range of routine and complex laboratory tests to assist healthcare providers in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced hospital laboratory environment and is committed to delivering accurate and timely results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform waived, moderate, and high-complexity laboratory testing in compliance with CLIA regulations
- Conduct testing across multiple disciplines including chemistry, microbiology, hematology, serology, urinalysis, and immunohematology
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment
- Execute quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results
- Troubleshoot instrumentation issues and implement corrective actions
- Prepare reagents, standards, and controls following established protocols
- Review, validate, and report test results in a timely and accurate manner
- Ensure proper disposal of biohazardous, chemical, and radioactive waste per safety guidelines
- Collaborate with physicians, pathologists, and lab personnel to support patient care
- Assist with inventory management and supply ordering as needed
- Stay current with laboratory advancements, methodologies, and best practices
Required Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science OR
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field
- Active ASCP certification (MLT, MT, or MLS) required
- Strong understanding of clinical laboratory operations and testing procedures
- Familiarity with multiple laboratory departments and methodologies
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a high-volume setting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with basic computer applications (e.g., MS Word, Excel, laboratory information systems)
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant laboratory experience preferred
