Job Title: Middle School Language Arts Teacher
Location: Summerville, SC
Type: Contract | 43 Weeks

Shift & Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 2:30 PM | Day Shift | 40 Hours Per Week

Pay Rate:
Local: $30 - $40/hour
Travel: $40 - $50/hour

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Middle School Language Arts Teacher for an exciting Travel or Local job in Summerville, SC.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality Language Arts instruction aligned with state standards and curriculum requirements.

• Teach reading comprehension, literature analysis, grammar, vocabulary, writing, and communication skills.

• Develop lesson plans that promote critical thinking, creativity, and student engagement.

• Assess and monitor student progress through assignments, projects, quizzes, tests, and classroom participation.

• Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and academic needs.

• Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment that encourages student success.

• Provide timely feedback on student work and communicate academic progress to students and families.

• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to enhance student achievement.

• Utilize educational technology and instructional resources to support learning outcomes.

• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development activities, and school events as required.

• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance.

Required Qualifications

• Valid South Carolina Department of Education (SC DOE) Teaching Certification with Language Arts Endorsement.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, English, Language Arts, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Strong knowledge of reading instruction, writing development, literature, and grammar.

• Excellent classroom management and organizational skills.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.

• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and student-centered learning environment.

• Ability to pass all required background checks and meet district hiring requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous teaching experience in Middle School Language Arts.

• Experience teaching middle school students.

• Familiarity with standards-based instruction and assessment practices.

• Experience integrating technology into classroom instruction.

• Strong collaboration and team-oriented mindset.
