Maintenance Technician – Commercial Kitchen Equipment (Foodservice Focus)Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Commercial Kitchen Equipment Maintenance Technician with hands-on experience servicing restaurant and foodservice equipment.
This role is focused on the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of commercial cooking, refrigeration, and beverage equipment used in a quick-service restaurant (QSR) environment (Dunkin’ Donuts locations).
Candidates must have direct experience repairing commercial kitchen or foodservice equipment. Experience limited to apartment, residential, or general building maintenance will not meet the requirements for this position.

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial kitchen and QSR equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance on foodservice equipment across multiple store locations
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, water, and heating systems in commercial equipment
- Read and interpret schematics, service manuals, and technical documentation
- Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to manage work orders and document repairs
- Ensure all equipment operates safely and meets manufacturer and foodservice standards
- Communicate clearly with store operations teams and provide timely service updates
- Maintain minimal downtime for critical foodservice equipment
Required Experience (Must Have)
- Minimum 2+ years hands-on experience servicing commercial kitchen or foodservice equipment
- Strong background working in restaurant, QSR, or foodservice equipment service environments
- Experience repairing commercial appliances such as ovens, coffee brewers, espresso machines, and warmers
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems in commercial equipment
- Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
Not a Fit If You Only Have Experience In
- Apartment or residential maintenance
- General handyman or property maintenance work
- Residential HVAC, plumbing, or appliance repair without commercial foodservice equipment experience
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting multi-unit restaurant or QSR operations
- Knowledge of water filtration / RO systems in foodservice environments
- CMMS experience
- Manufacturer training on foodservice equipment (TurboChef, Bunn, etc.)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
