Job Description - Inside Sales RepresentativeWhile working out of the Brooklyn Heights Office, reporting directly to the VP of Sales, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining relationships across several industries. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and will excel in building relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and delivering tailored solutions to meet sales goals. This role requires excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service.Key Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement: Engage with new and existing customers through phone calls, emails, and other communication channels to understand their needs and present relevant products or services.
- Lead Generation: Identify and qualify sales leads, maintaining a robust pipeline of potential clients.
- Sales Execution: Close sales by following up with prospects, providing product demonstrations, and addressing any objections or concerns.
- Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure repeat business and customer satisfaction.
- Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on company products, services, and industry trends to provide accurate information and solutions.
- Sales Metrics: Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and KPIs as set by management.
- CRM Management: Record all customer interactions, sales activities, and opportunities in the company CRM system.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as marketing and customer support, to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of inside sales experience in B2B environments, with success in both “hunting” (new business) and “farming” (account management).
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets in a high-growth small business setting.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Experience with CRM systems and standard office software (e.g., Word, Excel).
- Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Detail-oriented and passionate about delivering outstanding customer service.
- QuickBooks experience (especially in manufacturing and wholesale) is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is a plus; a desire to learn and grow is essential.
