As a Truck Driver, you'll be responsible for transporting materials, equipment, and debris to and from active job sites while supporting our roofing and construction teams. Every delivery you make helps keep projects on schedule and our crews productive. You'll be part of a team that values safety, reliability, teamwork, and getting the job done right.
This position will contribute in the following ways:
- Safely operate company dump trucks to transport construction materials, equipment, and debris between suppliers, staging areas, disposal facilities, and active job sites.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections to ensure assigned vehicles are safe, clean, and ready for operation.
- Load, transport, and unload materials, equipment, and debris safely and efficiently.
- Coordinate daily delivery schedules and priorities with the General Manager of Production.
- Support Superintendents and Foremen by delivering materials and equipment to keep projects operating efficiently and on schedule.
- Communicate proactively with the General Manager of Production regarding delivery status, scheduling conflicts, vehicle maintenance needs, and logistical challenges.
- Report vehicle maintenance needs, mechanical issues, accidents, or safety concerns promptly.
- Follow all company safety policies and safe driving practices.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment as needed.
- Support field crews with general labor duties during periods when driving assignments are limited.
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of assigned vehicles and equipment.
- Operate company equipment safely and professionally while representing ProBuilt with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and the public.
- Respond to changing project priorities and adjust delivery schedules as directed.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support construction operations.
Qualifications & Core Competencies
Required Competencies
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Experience operating dump trucks, flatbed trucks, or similar construction vehicles preferred.
- Ability to safely operate vehicles in construction environments and varying terrain.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical labor as needed.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
